In Eidfjord you will experience the four seasons very clearly. A 1000 meters difference in altitude makes you experience two of them at the same time, all in the course of an half hour.

“Eidfjord rundt” will show you the way to nearby adventures like:

• Fishing from the fjord all the way up into the mountains: you can catch everything, from the frightening wolffish to the most beautiful mountain trout

• Gorge walking to both small and enormous waterfalls
• Bird photographing on the slopes of the westcountry’s rich overgrowed mountains: an enormous variety of bird species
• Walks on every level: from easy strolls on your sunday shoes to long hikes on the steepest slopes or even with camping on the Hardangervidda
• Autums trips, looking for berries and mushrooms and hunting on reindeer and grouse

In Eidfjord there is still an active farming with livestock, which makes use of the resources both in the valley as ofcourse in the mountains. Please come, and witness the lambs, for the first time happily frolicking in the spring sun and join us in the autumn when we start collecting the sheep from the colourful mountains.
